Amanda Sayeg is a Los Angeles-based Brazilian director, creative producer, and problem solver. Her goals as a filmmaker are to raise awareness of human rights and environmental issues through storytelling, promote empathy, and inspire people to engage in positive social change. She is currently developing her documentary “Blind Dreams,” an experimental and immersive documentary about how blind people dream. The project was inspired by the award-winning short film that she directed and produced in 2018. In 2020, she produced “Alice in Somnia”, the winner of a 2019 SHIFT Creative Fund film grant. She also produced “Mrs. Genovese,” which was acquired by HBO for its streaming service, and “The Jump”, a short film selected by NALIP through their Latino Lens Incubator which was distributed digitally by PBS’s World Channel.
Amanda is an advocate for diversity and inclusion, always looking to collaborate with people from different backgrounds, that share her passion for storytelling.
